Textual annalysis of a double page spread

This double page spread is set out with a photo on one page and text on the other. The image is a medium shot taken in what seems like a studio. The mast head has a large, bold font and other than the mast head and name of the band this is the only colour used on the page, the black and white traditional font/page scheme makes it look professional and informative. The text size is fairly large and set out in two colunms which also makes the text look informative. The contrast of the image is dark which contrasts the white background on the next page making the image stand out.

Textual analysis of a doube page spread
This front page spread almost looks like a crap book, it is informal and looks creative. The shot is of a famous artist and is a medium shot. By only using black and white it looks simplistic and sophisticated. Again there is over lapping elements and the text i set out in colunms. The masthead is longer than usual and along with the photo is the main focus point. The text of the article is small which again makes it look sopisticated. The masthead relates to the rebelious look they are trying to portray and the plainness of the colour scheme and informal sense symbolises her 'honesty'. The short synopsis above the artic
Textual analysis of a double page spread

The main image goes across both pages and in comparison the writing does not dominate the page. There text overlaps the picture which makes it look informal There is minimal colour used, the name of the magazine is in a large, bold font so that it is distinguishable as is the subheading. Some of the text is highlighted in black whih highlights it's importance and makes it stand out from the rest of the page. The subheading has a white background and as it overlaps the photo it looks like it has been cut out from a piece of paper which looks creative. There is an aditional feature in te riht hand corner of the photograph which features some text, this breaks the photo up.
